Brief: Create a multimedia motion design that conveys a playful narrative.
Trumpets is a soulful collage motion graphic inspired by the New Orleans experience. This mixed media collage video was an interesting learning process, and my first foray into character animation. Working with both scanned and digital textures, I looked to create a tactile animation full of life.
Storyboard
Looking to capture feelings of soul and jazz music, I wanted to rely on a warmer color palette, engaging compositions, and tactility. Throughout the piece I used lots of scanned, and digital textures in order to bring the project to life.
